2. And what are these peoples suggestions then?

   – Staying on a paper/ Fax system forever?? HAH!

   This sounds like an example case of “Old people be needing to **shut the hell up**”.

3. Maybe, but the same 69% will vote for the LDP anyway.

4. My wife is completely against combining the Mynumber card with the insurance system. Yet, she has completely stopped voting because “it’s pointless.”

   I think this is the mindset of many young to middle-aged Japanese. And we all know that election day is one of the biggest social events for elderly people. I don’t know a single person over 60 in my wife’s family who doesn’t go to the polls. And ALL of them vote LDP. I don’t think they even know what the other parties represent anymore.

5. There is something a lot more important in my opinion. Putting a damn picture on insurance card. As long as the name in the card matches with your gender and the ethnicity of your name anyone can basically use the insurance system without paying 社会保険.

   If course nynumber kind of negates that issue but in a world where they don’t go forward with the mynumber card

7. Is there any reason people are against the my number card other than the TikTok conspiracy videos saying that everyone who gets a my number is being watched daily by the Chinese government?
