So I ordered an item off of Amazon Japan to be delivered to my local Family Mart, since it was a sort of important item and I didn’t want it sitting on my front step all day while I was at work. It was delivered, and Amazon shows it as delivered, and the notification on Amazon says, “Your package is currently being delivered to the the pickup location. Once the delivery is completed, we will send you a notification mail with pickup instructions. Average waiting time for notification is a few hours.”
It was delivered Sunday and I still have no notification email as of now (Monday night). Should I go to the store and explain the situation and pray they give me the package? I can’t find anything on the internet about never receiving this email so I’m really stuck on how to proceed. Thank you so much for your help!!

Don’t bother the poor minimum wage employee with this. Wait till you get the QR code and check your order page if the code’s been posted (it sometimes posts without sending an email alert).

I was in a situation like this before. I don’t know what happened but i had the notification that it was shipped and on the way to my local family mart… And it never updated. Then the next day I got another message saying the item was unable to be delivered. Contacted customer support who weren’t much help but said that if packages aren’t claimed in a week or so then they’re sent back and the amount refunded or credited to your account.
So yea i never got the item but i was able to confirm that it was refunded on my CC the following month.
I had a situation where my tracking went to one email address, and the pickup QR code email went to another email address. (it could’ve been because of a mail filter I set up) But I think u can log into your account and find the pickup code there under tracking or something.
Just go to the store and inquire. Take whatever info you have from Amazon. They are used to this.
Ask at the store if they have received your item. It will take them a few seconds to check.
