My wife and I (57/57) will be on vacation in Tokyo for 9 days traveling from California. We love food, gardens, museums, and the eccentricities of Japanese culture. I know there is so much to see and it’s only 9 days, but for those who have been or who have lived there, any suggestions? We want to stay in a very walkable part of Tokyo that is accessible to public transit so we can get to other places in and around Tokyo. Ryokan vs Hotel? Thank you in advance for any recommendations.
