  1. Tyrone’s comment was awful. Tyrone is a cunt.

The atom bomb may have been necessary during a time of war who knows but the point is ‘as the city of Hiroshima states itself’ the enemy and victim was humanity. Horrible shit has been done by lots of different nations throughout history so the best we can do is learn from it to try and avoid it happening again. Not every Japanese person including my wife and toddler want to massacre Koreans believe it or not.

So many innocent children met a horrible end to the atomic bombs so saying shit like ‘thank goodness for the atomic bombs’ means you are a prick.

  2. Important to remember:

    >But in 2017, right-wing governor Yuriko Koike — one of a group of politicians like former premier Shinzo Abe who struck a more nationalistic tone with regard to Japan’s past — stopped sending this message.
    >
    >Koike argued that there were “different opinions” about what happened and that she had sent a eulogy to a separate earthquake victim memorial service held the same day in the same park.

“The past is never dead. It’s not even past.”

  3. I believe the Kanto Earthquake was the turning point in Japan Korea relations.

The view of Koreans became extremely negative in the aftermath of the earthquake as false rumors spread of Koreans poisoning the wells. It was also an early example of people jumping fake news amidst uncertainty and anxiety.

  4. Time to move on.

Reminding people of their mistakes all the time does not bring anything good.
