Recently moved in with my grandma here and have just got my name registered to an address, which bank should i register to? I am only staying a year, and i am 18. Would anyone recommend i use revolut?
What is your status? employee, student? What visa do you have?
If you are nothing, and plan to leave soon due to visa reason then I’m not sure you’ll be able to open any bank account at all. You shouldn’t take banking in Japan for granted.
I would recommend to just use your foreign bank credit card, go 7-11 ATMs and withdraw cash for living. But I let others jump in.
Use whatever bank has many locations wherever you are living, or do an online bank like Sony. Avoid the Post Bank, they’re awful.
