Hi, I plan to take my N1 test finally this December. Unfortunately, I have work on Wednesday (the day N1 registration opens) I have to ask my friend to help:(
Could you guys tell me what documents you need to register jlpt in US? eg, ssn passport (?) photo anything else?
Also is that hard to get one N1 spot? I’m around OH but the test center close so I decide to fly somewhere else gonna have my early Christmas vacation while taking the test lol.

You’ll need a method of payment and some form of photo ID.
I’m also from the OH area, best place for us would be either Chicago or Michigan which have a good about of seats. If you’re doing n1 you should have plenty of time to sign up if you plan to do it on Wednesday. I’m going for the n2 when it opens up on Friday but I have the same issue, I have my plan trip from Japan back to america so I would be on the plan when it opens, so I plan to send my mom the needed things and have her do it for me
