They are located in Tokyo.

  1. I think I worked for them back in the day. If I remember correctly they ran business English classes in the evenings.

  2. The name sounds like Nova putting on glasses and a fake moustache to avoid their bad reputation lmao

  3. I worked for them for several years, but was not directly hired by them. They bought the company that I’d worked at for about 9 years (a correspondence business English company) and then I was employed by them after the acquisition.

The company is ran by a former Nova executive. He spun off his own company and name it unimaginatively.

I never had any issues with them, but I worked in an office. In fact, they corrected an illegal situation with my former employer in which they froze my allowed time off at five days per year and wouldn’t let me take any more days even though I should have been accruing one additional day up until I maxed out. They immediately gave me those days.

I can’t speak to how they are now (I quit some time back and the boss I had passed away).

  4. My advice is to avoid. They are shady, and actively look for ways to exploit the teachers for as little pay as possible. As an example, they will give you a contract for 3,000 per lesson, then promise you it will renew; then when they offer renewal, they will lower it to 2,500 per class and blame the client. Their take is 70%, and yours is perhaps 10% with the rest taken for admin. I would not work for them unless you don’t have any other options.
