Itinerary check 2 weeks – North Japan, Sendai, Aomori, Kawaguchiko, Tokyo – Oct

Hoping to get some feedback regarding an itinerary for a small group traveling near Tokyo/North Japan. We’ve all been to Japan a few times before already so we wanted to do something a bit different.

**Day 1 – Arrival**

\- Arrive in HND 8am local time, chill around Ueno before checking into hotel.- Maybe head to Akihabara or Ameyoko for dinner or just crash depending on how jetlagged we end up being

**Day 2 – Tokyo > Sendai**

\- Activate and pick up 5 Day JR east pass. Head to Sendai early in the morning, stop for lunch around Sendai Station and drop off luggage at the hotel.

\- Take train to Miyagikyo Distillery, take a train to Yamadera directly after. Head back to Sendai for dinner

**Day 3 – Sendai > Matsushima**

\- Chill around Sendai in the morning and then head to Matsushima for a full day. Lunch at the AYCE oyster shack there and head back to Sendai for dinner.

**Day 4 – Sendai > Aomori**

\- Castle Ruins in the morning, maybe some shopping.

\- Ekiben lunch, taking the shinkansen from Sendai to Shin Aomori, arriving around 2-3 before taking the shuttle bus to Oirase Keiryu.

\- Dinner at the hotel Ringo Kitchen, onsen.

**Day 5 – Aomori**

\- Hike around the Oirase Gorge and see if we can find some transportation to lake Towada to explore around there as well

\- Head back to hotel to chill

**Day 6 – Aomori > Tokyo**

\- Breakfast at the hotel, checking out. Take the morning shuttle back to Shin Aomori, leave luggage in coin lockers if possible.

\- Head to Aomori City stop by A factory, Nebuta Museum, Tourist Center, grab nokkedon for lunch at Furukawa fish market. Maybe head to Aomori Museum of Art if we feel like it.

\- Last day of the JR East Pass – heading back to Tokyo.

\- Checking in our hotel in Shinjuku and chilling around there at night.

**Day 7 – Shinjuku > Kawaguchiko**

\- Head to Kawaguchiko via Shinjuku Expressway bus early in the morning.

\- Drop off luggage at Mount Fuji Panorama Glamping – head to panorama ropeway, explore area around lake Kawaguchiko

\- Stop by a supermarket and grab stuff to BBQ at the camp grilling area for dinner.

**Day 8 – Kawaguchiko**

\- Fuji Q for the majority of the day, maybe head to Chureito Pagoda if we get bored.

\- Head back to glamping area, maybe finish off leftovers from the BBQ on the 1st day for dinner or just eat out.

**Day 9 – Kawaguchiko > Enoshima/Kamakura**

\- This part of the trip is a bit weird route wise but we wanted to fit it in because one member of our group has to leave earlier and we wanted to fit in more stuff while he was still here.

\- Head to Shinjuku via highway bus early in the morning, take train to Kamakura, drop off luggage at hotel.

\- Head to Enoshima, late Shirasu lunch on the island, explore the rest of the island.

\- Maybe stop by the island spa for sunset onsen if we have time, head back to Kamakura for hotel and dinner.

**Day 10 – Kamakura > Tokyo**

\- Breakfast at Bills Shichirigahama in Kamakura, explore Kamakura for a bit, head back to Tokyo whenever we get bored.

**Day 11 – 14 – Tokyo – possible daytrip?**

\- Just mess around in Tokyo for a couple of days, shopping and doing standard Tokyo tourist stuff, nothing specific, just winging it.

\- Looking for a possible day trip on one of these days, any good recommendations?

\- Flying back in the evening on day 14.
