Help on how my visa/visits to Japan will be treated please…

I will fly into Tokyo Monday morning Sept 4 and would expect a 90 day tourist visa (USA citizen). However I make a two week round trip visit to USA from Oct 9-25. When I return to Tokyo on Oct 25 will I likely be granted another 90 day tourist visa?

i read that one cannot stay in Japan more than 180 days per year. Is that calender year or year from Day 1 of first visit?

Thanks for your help.

It is 180 days in a rolling 365 day period.

So in this case you will (in theory) be fine, as you wouldn’t be going over 180 days. But once you leave after your second trip you won’t be able to return for quite some time.

Yeah, most probably. You may asked why you’re back again so soon, but that would be about it.

Its the trailing 12 month period.
