Fastest bank account for paying rent? (Or can you deposit into a bank account without one?)

New here. My rent is due today, but apparently the bill that allows me to pay at the conbini was lost in the mail or something.

They gave me some bank details to transfer the money to, but I don’t have a bank account set up yet.

I understand I can only use JP Bank as I’m only a couple months in here, does anyone have experience with knowing how quickly I can use the account once I have it set up?

Alternatively, could I just take cash to the guarantors bank and deposit it into their account if I have their info?

  1. If they gave you the details to transfer money to, you should be able to go to the bank mentioned in the details and use the atm to deposit cash into that account directly.

Doesn’t even need to be the same bank, any bank should let you do a transfer at the counter, although a different bank might charge a higher transfer fee.

  3. Use the same bank that the account is set up with. Ensure you put dashes in phone number and used ordinary account. You should also called guarantor company as money is probably deposit in guarantor company account and they send to realtor. The guarantor should have an account number set up for your account. Some guarantor company has English translator also. DM if you need further help.
