Want to remake this sushi I has last week. Does anyone know what the stuff is on top? :)

3. I suspect it’s tempura crunchies, kewpie mayo, and unagi sauce.

   Though it could be vomit. I’m not sure.

4. Fried tempura scraps, or maybe fried shallots? And a lot of kewpie Mayo. Looks like a mess but ugly delicious. Sushi should be prettier though.

11. Size on the end peice tells me its shrimp tempura. Or lobster tempura. 3 large peices rolled into one big roll. Plane nori ,rice, mayo, eel sauce tempura flakes on top. Very americanized sushi, alot of sauce on top.

15. I’m also in the camp of, “this is not sushi”. I’m really hoping this trend of garbage pail creations with rice and fish rolls ends.

16. If I didn’t know which subreddit it was from, Id have puked because it looked like some kind of abomination from the trash 😂 not hate just it looked odd.

    I know it’s sushi, which is nice, but you really can’t blame me from looking at the picture.
