I will be traveling in a group of 7 (5 adults, 1 senior – can walk but slow, 1 toddler – 3 years old) for the first time together around late September and would love some helpful advice and tips.
We would probably skip buying the JR Pass as we will be hiring a private car (Hiace) to chauffeur us around throughout the whole trip except for the days we will be in Disneyland and the journey from Tokyo to Kyoto (Shinkansen).
**Questions:-**
1. Any restaurant recommendations especially for when in Kyoto and Osaka that accepts big groups and a child? I tried to ask my hotel to pre-book for me but apparently they will only help us make reservations once we check in.
2. Any suggestions if it rains when in Tokyo/ Kyoto/ Osaka?
3. Should we add more to itinerary since we are hiring a private car?
**Itinerary:-**
*Day 1: Tokyo*
Arrive late and check in hotel in Tokyo

*Day 2: Tokyo – Shibuya/Shinjuku Area or Day trip to Mt Fuji if the weather permits*
\- Shinjuku National Garden
\- Meiji Shrine
\- Yoyogi Park
\- Harajuku
\- Shibuya Sky
Any lunch/dinner recommendations ?

*Day 3: Akasaka Area*
\- Tsukiji Market
\- Sensoji Shrine
\- Nakamise Shopping Street
\- Akihabara
\- Tokyo Skytree
Worth it to go to the famous Hedgehog Cafe or Cat Cafe?
\- Check in to Tokyo Disneyland Hotel

*Day 6: Disneysea / Travel to Kyoto*
6pm : Travel to Kyoto and Check in at Ryokan in Kyoto

\- Tenryu-ji
\- Monkey Park
\- Kiyomizu-dera
\- Gion
\- Yasaka Shrine

*Day 8: Kyoto > Nara > Osaka*
\- Visit Fushimi Inari Shrine
\- Travel to Nara
\- Nara Deer Park
\- Todaiji Shrine
\- Travel back to Osaka for a quick dinner and check in hotel
