I’m currently job hunting and will probably be moving out of my village house apartment soon.
It’s only been a year, so I’ll be paying those extra 2-3 months of rent for breaking contract.
Question is, if I move into another village house apartment, could I get the refer a friend discount or something (I am technically referring myself)?
Or even worse, will they make me go through the whole proving I’m worthy of living there again despite a year’s worth of paying rent on time?

Just ask the management of Village House.
Japan not known for its flexibility. I had a company paid apartment and just wanted to change to my name (like I’m still there ) and they wanted penalty charge for under one year and new key money and deposit and cleaning fee.
