It’s going to be my first solo trip to Japan in September. I’ve been to Japan twice but mainly spent lots of time in the cities of Tokyo and Sapporo where I spent time with local friends, so I’ve never used the JR Pass prior.
One of my dream was to use the JR pass and travel from Hakodate to Hakata in a single day 🙂
I would appreciate if anyone could share their experience if they have ever attempted Hakodate > Hakata in one day, and if these travel plans are too over-paced for this Autumn season.
And for Day 9, if i were to cover 3 shinkansens in 1 day, I heard that no reservations are needed for Ordinary Car (Second Class)? Would I be able to reserve seats ahead of time and from my start point till the end of the line? I have the 14-day JR pass for whole of Japan, Ordinary car.
