I’m trying to get suica set up and I’ve never used Apple wallet at all. It rejects my card but doesn’t really give me a reason. I tried combining two given names and removing my middle name, nothing works.
If you can’t get it to work here’s an option: If you get the Line virtual card, you can add it to Apple wallet. It’s how I charge my suica card. You can then charge your line card from your MUFG card.
You can use it in the Suica app I assume (it works with the Pasmo app), but doesn’t work with the Apple wallet app.
If it’s a MUFG JCB debit card, you can use Apple Pay.
If it’s any other MUFG debit card, you can’t use Apple Pay.
No way around it, even if you visit the bank. Don’t waste your time.
