Hi everyone. I”m learning japanese (n2) and plan on study for art major. (Product design)
My main purpose is being able to learn skills, have a degree and later on work in japan.
1, Product design related questions:
I want to work as a product designer. Things like chair, interior, stationery product etc. Things that make our life become more and more comfortable.
To be able to work in the industry, what skills should i prepare outside of basic? For now i could just think of skill in UI/UX but we are living in a competitive world so i really need some advices!
Senior who already working in the industry, if there are any advices you would like to give not necessary related to skills, i would love to hear too!!!
2, SEIKA university related questions:
I want to study Product design at Seika university course really caught my eyes. Their students graduation products are impressive!
But then i have a little check up on 口コミ and found out that the some years ago the school have an accident like there is a teacher who hate and cursed forgeiner students. It was about 2019-2020 and i was wondering if this still happen… Because of that accident companies have some judgment when hiring graduated students from seika (because of bad reputation), is that true?
It would be a bless if i could have some information about the school from current students.
For university of cause we have to self taught a lot but are the teachers friendly and kind enough for us to ask when we need helps? I mean there are a lot of teachers who just ignored their students…
And i would like to hear your opinions about job opportunities after graduation too!!
P/s: Other than Seika university. I also want to know more about others senmon gakkou/ university with good product design courses. Recommendations are welcome 🙇♀️
