Hello everyone,
I am currently a Sophomore in college and plan to study abroad during the 2024 Fall semester.
I was looking into Sophia University and their autumn semester exchange program. However, their autumn semester looks to go until late January? On the schedule it says the finals are around January 20-30th. I still have to attend classes at my university back home in the Spring, which starts around the 8th of January. Is this schedule the same for exchange students? I couldn’t imagine since most spring semesters in Canada/US start early January? Do the exchange students not have to take finals to allow students to return earlier?
(P.S. The autumn semester 2024 would the only one that would work with my plan to study and take the LSATS during the summer of my Junior year.)
It would be really helpful if someone with experience studying abroad during the autumn semester in Japan could help answering!
Thanks!!

I think the best thing to do is email the Sophia exchange office and/or your college’s exchange program office and ask them about this; they have a lot of experience in this.

I don’t know about that. My undergrad had a month-long winter session and started for spring at the end of January. And schools on the quarter system are also different I think.
