Hello! I am still relatively new to Japan (moved here in March from the US) and while there’s many familiar clothing brands I sometimes have a hard time finding things in my size. Any recommendations in the Osaka area for where I could find a good dress for night life? More the bodycon or midi styles would be preferable but so far I’m finding a lot more smart casual clothes and not something good for a night out.

Without knowing what “your size” is, it’s hard to say.
What about Forever 21? There’s one in Lalaport Kadoma.
How much are you willing to spend?
“Normal” Japanese girls don’t usually wear that kind of “clubbing” stuff tbh. The closest thing you can find would probably be in a hostess/gyaru style shop. No one else really wears “bodycon” stuff
Try EST for something a bit more expensive or Hep5! Shops like SPIGA, TAXI, FUN and INGNI are also gyaru, SOMETIMES a bit hostessy. But again, I don’t think you’ll easily be able to find the things you’re looking for haha. And the quality is mostly crap because it’s aimed at gyaru haha. WEGO and SPINS is a bit more cool but might have revealing stuff. Online you could try GRL!
These shops usually only have Free size or S, maybe M. Do you find that you don’t fit into those?
In that case I would get something Western from Zara or H&M 🙂
You can’t find many good going-out clothes in the stores here, even in a smaller size. Try ordering online from ASOS. Zara and H&M have larger sizes online too.
