Sure, if you get a work visa, in other words getting a company in Japan to hire you and sponsor your visa.
But be aware that a lot of lonely foreigners come to Japan and end up lonely here as well, because coming to Japan doesn’t usually fix what was making them lonely in the first place.
And Japan can be a very insular and hard-to-integrate society, even if you speak the language, but especially if you don’t speak the language.
Changing where you live will likely not alter your problem.
Aside from the visa-, possibly qualification-, and language-barrier: If Switzerland is not for you, then Japan is defo not for you. I used to say, the Japanese are Swissier than the Swiss. Like “clean the house, before the cleaning lady arrives, so she won’t see the dirt” 🙂
There may be a reason why you’re lonely. It is hardly the Swiss mentality only that makes you unhappy. I’d find the deeper reason and fix that first, and only then move anywhere, or else you may be carrying that baggage with you and make it worse.
Good luck!
Unless you speak fluent Japanese and also already have a Japanese mindset, you’ll probably end up lonelier in Japan than in your home country
