Anyone heard of Sodatu Lab?

I’m getting scam vibes from them.

I had a quick phone interview with them. Where instead of calling me on my phone number they wanted line instead. I asked why and the excuse was it’s easier to reach me.

  1. Nothing weird about having an interview via LINE. Have done it plenty of times.

  2. I haven’t heard of them, but after researching, two companies are registered at the same address.

    This one also has some reviews on Google as recently as 2 months ago.

    Why they use 2 company names, I don’t know.

  3. It could be because Line calls are free unlike a normal phone call. If they are using a mobile phone to call from, they could be charged 22yen/30 seconds on a MVNO network. A thirty minute interview can get pretty expensive if they are calling multiple candidates.
