Anyone using electric scooters or unicycles?

Wondering what kind of experiences people are having using electric scooters in large cities. Specifically, how daunting is registration? I was really enjoying using an electric unicycle until clarification and enforcement of existing laws caught up making them unrideable in the city I live in. I have seen people riding them in other cities but still a definite no-go where I am.

  1. I ride my EUC around my property/nearby but yeah, the days of openly riding that stuff on public streets are over.

I’d absolutely stick a plate on mine if the rest of requirements weren’t retarded like underpowered wattage limits and requirements for “brakes” and “turn signals”.

Never bothered with a scooter, those small wheel things like LUUP rides are death traps.

  2. Registering is pretty easy from what I heard from my friend.
As long as it’s the model that meets requirement based on the 1 july changes.
Don’t even have to bring the kickboard, just the documentations.

I personally ride it too sometimes (ninebot max), without any number plate since I just stay away from public road most of the time.
But that thing have hazard in almost every single aspect. Mainly the small wheel and center gravity. Most people don’t know how to sudden brake and just faceplants.

Pedal asist bicycle is more fun to ride imo. Those with torque sensor.
The feeling of having cyborg leg is nice.
