Advice on canceling Japanese Anytime fitness

So while in Japan for two months, I contracted monthly to my local anytime fitness. I go home to America in 1 week and I want to cancel my membership. However, there is no way to cancel online and would likely have to go in-person to cancel. Did anyone go through the canceling process to tell me what I might need on me or maybe some troubles that occurred while cancelling.

Edit: Went in with my mom that speaks fluent Japanese to help me out. Turns out that all I needed was to sign my name twice on one sheet of paper and then state why I am cancelling the membership by checking some boxes. Thank you for everyone that helped me with this issue!

  1. I went and sat in the lobby, they brought an ipad like the same used for registering, and they made me sign a few pages on the screen. Took 15mn including waiting time.

Edit: if there was a promotion, you might have to pay a penalty if yoy cancel within 3 months or something.

  2. You have to give back the access key when you quit, so that’s probably why there’s no option to do it online.

  3. I canceled in person, state your reason as you moving and there are no facilities nearby. (remember they have gyms internationally)

They were pleasant and quick. I rejoined with no hassle 2 years later.
