Hi guys, I am going to japan in november 12 and wanted to hike mt Kita in tokyo. I search the various websites for information on transport to the trailhead and it seems there is a bus but not able to find out anymore details on the bus, where to take the bus and the timetable. Does anybody have any experience going there to hike and can offer some information? Thanks

Hi, when I plan on hiking a moutain in Japan I go to [this blog](https://www.lostfilipina.com/) that’s really great and gives lots of detail on how to hike a lot of Japanese mountains. On the entry for [Kitadake](https://www.lostfilipina.com/2021/01/kitadake-hike.html) it says that bus only run until early november so you’re probably out of luck ! You can check some details on their [google sheets](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1DcmS1rkDnK3PGr1d9LTY8H3TYqUGAhBSeZyz36W2Ia0/edit#gid=0) (just press ctrl+f and search kitadake)
It stops running on November 5th because it’s deep winter up there by then. And you’re gonna run into the same problem for all the other alps hikes.
