I’m a flautist living in Yokohama and I’m looking for stores where I can find some sheet music, music stands, and a multiple flute stand for pit orchestra. Any help and/or recommendations will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance 🙂
If you’re not looking for anything super specialist, Shimamura Gakki 島村楽器 should have you covered. They have several stores around Yokohama; Minato Mirai has one and there’s another one in the Yokohama LaLaport, plus some more. Just plug the name into your favorite maps app.
Have a walk around Ocha no Mizu in Tokyo. It’s a famous area for musicians and musical instruments.
I also heard ilovestrings is the online store for string instruments, so there must be some similar store for woodwinds. For standard and basic musical supplies, Amazon and Shimamura are adequate.
Not related but… Do you know any students teaching flute for kids in Tokyo ?
