Hey Everyone,

I will be in Japan for 14 days, My flight is on the 20th of September which is 9 days from now. I’ve been doing a fair amount of research and I would appreciate any help/suggestions to make my trip any better.

**Day 1:** 21st of September – Tokyo

Land in Haneda airport at 1:30PM. Going to pick up pocket WiFi, JR Pass, exchange some currency at the ATM and buy a Welcome Suica card.

Take the monorail to Hamamatsuchō Station and change to train on the Yamanote line going to Ueno Station. After checking in at APA hotel Ueno Ekimae, depending on how I feel I might go to Ameyoko.

**Day 2:** 22nd of September – Tokyo

* Grab some breakfast at a konbini
* Get to Senso-ji at around 9 AM
* Nakamise-Dori
* Asakusa Culture Tourist Information Office
* Ueno Park
* If I have time, I will go to Tokyo National Museum, if not I’d move it to Sunday.

**Day 3:** 23rd of September – Fujikawaguchiko or Roppongi

On this day I would prefer to take a daytrip to Fujikawaguchiko to see Mt Fuji and go to an Onsen, however I am not sure what the weather is going to be like, so because of that if I can’t go I would go to Roppongi and maybe Akasaka.

I don’t have much planned out here because the only things I would be interested in would be to see the Tokyo tower and maybe visit some bars in the area.

**Day 4:** 24th of September – Tokyo

* If I didn’t have time to visit the Tokyo National Museum before, this would be the first place I would go to.
* Going to spend most of the day in Akihabara
* Radio Kaikan
* Kikanbo for ramen or tsukemen
* The rest of the day I am probably just going to walk around and explore different shops before heading back to the hotel.

* Fushimi Inari Taisha
* Pontocho
* Samurai and Ninja Museum

**Day 9:** 29th of September – Kyoto

**Day 13:** 3rd of October – Tokyo

* Not many plans on this day, I might walk around Shibuya or maybe just rest.

**Day 14:** 4th of October – Return Flight

* My flight is at 9:50 PM
* The only plan I have for the last day is Sunshine City in Ikebukuro.

I am not sure if I planned too much. I am aware of the typhoon season and how that could disrupt my plans. There’s only a few places on this list that I would consider a must see so If i have to sit out a day or two due to the weather or jetlag I am fine with sacrificing the days, reluctantly.

My activity level at the moment is walking a bit over 10,000 steps a day for work and spending about an hour in the gym of which I cycle for 5-10km about 3 times a week give or take. Hopefully that’s enough. If possible I would like to cycle in Kyoto, I’ve looked at the [Japan-guide.com](https://Japan-guide.com) Arashiyama full day itinerary as one of the places to cycle in. Is there any other day in Kyoto that would be a good idea to cycle?

Thank you
