Hi everyone,
I’m thinking about learning Japanese acupuncture while I’m here.
Does anyone know of any schools / universities that offer the studies in English? Preferably around Tokyo, but I would love to hear of any ideas.
I have basic Japanese and studying, but light years away from academic level.
I’ve done some Googling and couldn’t find defenite info about the English part (as it usually is with Japanese websites😔)
🙏

This doesn’t exactly answer your question but you might want to try asking Edward Obaidey, he’s an acupuncturist in Sangenjaya and just a really nice and friendly guy. If there’s any way for you to get started, he’ll probably know what it is.

(He was a friend of my former boss, I helped him with his website and stuff many many years ago.)
I’d be a bit surprised if there were formal classes in English as I doubt there would be much demand but who knows.
>For Science-Based Medicine, Steven Novella wrote that the overall pattern of evidence was reminiscent of that for homeopathy, compatible with the hypothesis that most, if not all, benefits were due to the placebo effect, and strongly suggestive that acupuncture had no beneficial therapeutic effects at all.[18]
