Child abuse statistics, to me, are like the statistics for people who lose their lives purely due to overwork… it’s a stat I wish was never a thing, but apparently… I have to live with the fact that it’s a thing. So, for me to see a country hitting a record high should say ALOT about how fucked up things are. I can only hope for the best, because honestly, I realize that ideas I thought of pitching in on how to handle this have side effects that could even be worse for children and truly caring parents.
I wonder if cases are actually going up, or if the reporting is just more accurately capturing what was already happening.
