Securing Employment – J-FIND VISA

I’m planning on applying for the J-FIND Visa which allows me to engage in employment activities for a maximum of two years. By the time I apply, I expect to have at least N2 proficiency. My only concern is, is 2 years of work visa enough or will employers view 2 years is too short for them to even consider me as an applicant?

  2. J-FIND is not *technically* a working visa. J-FIND is a ***job hunting*** visa. The “employment activities” that J-FIND allows are designed to allow you to support yourself while looking for “real” work. So J-FIND allows you to do things that wouldn’t normally support a visa, like working at a kombini or entrepreneur stuff.

Once you find a job you are expected/required to switch to the relevant visa/status of residence for that job. You will need to do that *before* you start working.
