* Days 11-14 are buffer days in case of a delay or cancellation. If the weather cooperates, I will have 4.5 extra days. What’s an interesting location to spend 2-3 days in between Tokyo and Wakayama that isn’t Kyoto/Osaka? I like places like Tomogashima and Aogashima, and Ikeshima is a target when I make a Kyushu-only trip in the future.

* Are there gear rental shops in Tokyo where I can rent a sleeping bag, but return them in a branch in maybe Osaka? This is for the Tomogashima leg, and I only need it for a night.

* Is Nagoya good for a shopping spree in places like Don Quixote, Bic Camera, Hobby Off? Or should I do it in Osaka?
