  1. How Do I effectivley study japanese, with the resources I have

I am taking a class which means I have a teacher, which is very helpful, but that also means I have to use a textbook already given and cant choose my own. Im using the adventure in japanese series and workbooks. They come with audio recordings of a few dialouge pieces, and introduce grammar, words, sentence structure, kanji and so on. I was wondering what would be the best way to study using these.( Yeah Im basically just asking someone to help me make a study schedule) I participate and do well in class, but I end up only memorizing words/general formulas for very basic sentences(For example I can translate, the cat is near the door, but not Mike’s cat is sleeping near the door over there), so I when I have to write out a sentence, I usually use the wrong particles or structure for any thing thats more than 4-5 words long.

I also have an anki quiz deck for flash cards but thats just the word and its direct translation. I didn’t wnat to use a sentence for context, because I thought I might just end up memorizing the sentence and not really understanding the use of the word in that. I also dont know how to effectivley make a flashcard with a sentence for context compared to just the word and its translation
