In pictures: Tokyo’s underground subcultures at night

1. I have an old photography book called “Tokyo Addict” that is a series of photographs taken of people being part of different subcultures in Tokyo. It’s a fascinating book.

   With 30 million people in the metro area, I always thought Tokyo is a great place if you have a niche hobby, because even if it’s 1 out of a million, you still have 30 people share your hobby in Tokyo.
