First time visit (10 day itinerary)

Hello reddit! My partner and I are visiting Japan for the first time in October, we have a rough outline of our itinerary but we’re feeling pretty stumped by all the options in Tokyo.

Here is a breakdown of our plan so far:

# Day 0: 10/10/23 [Tokyo]

* Arrive around 8pm local time.
* Take public transportation to our hotel in Shibuya.
* Likely retire early after eating.

# Day 1: 10/11/23 [Tokyo]

* Tourist day (so far zero plans, we would love recommendations!)

# Day 2: 10/12/23 [Tokyo -> Kyoto]

* Check out early, travel to Kyoto via Shinkansen bullet train.
* Travel from central Kyoto to Momijiya Honkan Takao Sanso hotel.
* Rest and soak, possibly hiking if that is available.

# Day 3: 10/13/23 [Kyoto]

* Travel back to central Kyoto in the morning.
* Tourist day (shrines).

# Day 4: 10/14/23 [Kyoto]

* Wide open tourist day ( recommendations? )

# Day 5: 10/15/23 [Kyoto->Osaka->Okinawa]

* Another busy travel day, take the train from Kyoto to Osaka.
* Flight departs Kansai airport around 12pm.
* Touchdown at Naha 2:10

# Day 6-9: 10/15-10/18

* We will be staying with friends in Okinawa during this time, they have planned quite a few activities, however if anyone has a “MUST DO” suggestion we will definitely check it out!

# Day 9: 10/18/23 [Okinawa ->Tokyo]

* Arrive Narita at 2:40.
* Public transport to hotel .
* Free evening to checkout nightlife.

# Day 10: 10/19/23 [Tokyo]

* Zero plans, we are considering staying in Ginza to do some shopping at the tail end of our trip.

# Day 11: 10/20/23 [Tokyo->SF]

* Our last day, we will be departing at 9:30PM, so we could see 1-2 last minute sights before heading to the airport.

Now that I’ve typed all that out it’s very clear that we have very few activities planned, and I’m a bit concerned. Thanks for any help Reddit!
