Is 50,000 a good price for Sharehouse room near Nigawa Station in Hyogo?

Been looking at sharehouses in the area while I’m living in a Hostel in Osaka for job training before starting work. Going to be working near Kawanishi-Noseguchi and Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi and there’s a sharehouse about 10 minutes walk from Nigawa Station I liked well enough. The rent is going to be about 50,000 a month, which isn’t bad, but wanted to know what others thought about that price for the area.

  1. Nose? Hope you like mercury in your diet. Just kidding ^^^it ^^^was ^^^a ^^^long ^^^time ^^^ago.

But seriously, that seems a lot for only a room in a sharehouse that is kind of far from both Osaka and Sannomiya. If it includes all bills, internet etc, maybe it’s okay. But if nothing is inclusive, you could probably find your own small apartment for that price.

  2. That’s more expensive than my 4dk house in yokosuka for comparison.

Couldn’t imagine shelling that out AND being forced to have roommates.

  3. That feels a bit on the high end, I rented a share house 3 mins from one station in the Yamanote Line for that much, true the room was tiny. If you are sharing with only another room and it’s a luxury manshion then it’s okay, but otherwise you should def be able to find a lot cheaper.

  4. On Suumo I found a private 2LDK within 1km of Kawanishinoseguchi station for 35k. 50k for a room in a share house would be a good price for downtown Tokyo, but not for Takarazuka.

  5. Sound expensive – I’ve heard of people renting 1dk (basically a bachelor suite) for 6-70000 in Tokyo. Share house you get less space and share your kitchen/ toilet with 15 other people.

I’ve seen a couple from work and they can be pretty gross.

  6. I live in Takarazuka. That is an outrageous price for a share house in this area. I just googled 仁川シェアハウス and found one for 38,000. Was the first link on Google. You may as well find your own apartment for 50,000.

  7. I’d never spend that much to live in a share house. I would also never live in a share house. My first apartment was 6man. They’re just gross. Good luck ever having a partner come over too. 🤮

  8. Ye I’ve lived in the Nishinomiya/Takarazuka area and for that price you could get a nice 2DK. I know someone with a share house agreement in the area and they pay around 35,000 for reference. (Edit to change LDK to DK, my last place in the adjoining Nishinomiya area was only a 2DK for 50,000)

  9. might be pricey, but the only good thing is you might not have to pay move in fees. it depends on the sharehouse, though. apartments might have a cheaper monthly rent, but the move in fees can range anywhere from 4 to 5 times the price of monthly rent (mine was ¥180,000 for example with a monthly rent of ¥50,000)

  10. We pay 58,000 for a 2DK apartment in Nagoya 15 mins walk from a subway station (5 from a bus stop) and is pet friendly. The number above includes monthly “maintenance” fees and an on-site parking space.

A room in a sharehouse in Hyogo for 50,000 sounds expensive af. For that price, get your own place and enjoy your privacy, OP.

  11. I lived at a place in dotonbori for 60k last year, if you’re interested I can try and find the name

  12. I live in a 1ldk in Hyogo and that’s only a bit less than my rent so i would say that’s pretty high just for a room
