So I’ve been using the Den-en-toshi line for so long now and I never really questioned it but I suddenly got curious. Why is the women only cart NEVER women only? Does that only apply to when it transforms into the Hanzomon line? Do people just not care? This is at 7:30 am going from Kanagawa to Shibuya btw so it should be women only at that time right?
My geriatric PC is finally in need of a good replacement. What are good places to buy PC parts here in Tokyo or online? Used in good condition is fine, and I’ll take price over convenience.
In inaka about 12 minute drive to closest JR station, is there a good app I can use to summon a taxi when I need a ride to get there, also when leaving station (its small and unmanned)
What is the most deserving domestic charity (of any focus) in genuine need of more donations?
Or, is there a legitimate charity, not connected to any religion etc, that focuses on helping single mothers in poverty and their children? I’m sure I’ve seen an ad for one on YouTube in the past.
Edit: maybe this was the place I’ve seen advertised. It’s very local to me, although the [google map reviews](https://maps.app.goo.gl/CXZUiMtxSkgbMoqp9?g_st=ic) are a bit eyebrow-raising. Can anyone vouch for somewhere similar?
How hard is it to get prescribed some sort of ADHD medication here? Does that fall under the 内科 umbrella or do I need to go to a specialist?
My last medical checkup suggests I should stop self medicating with energy drinks and coffee.
Both the questions and complaint threads seem to get significantly less comments than they used to. It could be a result of more frequent threads being created… but even then it feels like there’s less overall? Or are people just getting more smarter and less sadder?

I’ve never driven anything in my life, but isn’t it entirely redundant? Wouldn’t a handbrake suffice?
Anyone been to Costco recently and seen pumpkin pie yet? Or do I have to wait till October.
I’m currently in the process of obtaining my permanent residence with the assistance of a lawyer. We submitted the application in February, but it has not been approved to date. I’ve read that it might take up to a year, and my lawyer mentioned it could be as long as 8 months. But I’m feeling anxious about it and am wondering if there’s a way to check the status.
Q about applying for PR via the point system. Say for example I had 80 points 1 year ago. But then during the course of the year, I lost 5 points due to crossing an age threshold. But then I gained 5 points back at the end due to my income going up, thus returning to the same 80 points. Would I be able to apply for PR at that point, or would I have to wait another year?
About amazon deliveries…
Do the couriers Sagawa and Kuroneko make unattended deliveries? I have no delivery box but there is a gas meter closet next to my apartment door, and they never followed instructions of leaving packages there.. Is there a way to make them?

Home mobile router vs. 100mbps VDSL?
I didn’t have many options moving into my next place and I’m going to be stuck with 100mbps VDSL again which is annoying because my partner and I both work from home and use a lot heavy internet services. I never looked into mobile routers before because I much prefer wired but a quick glance on Kakaku shows that the theoretical max speed of some services are above 1gbps down and around 200-300mbps up. Of course I expect the real speeds to be a lot lower but even if they are better than 100mbps up/down it would be an improvement I guess.
My 2 main concerns are:
* data limits. The plans I glanced at say no limits but I imagine they might have some fine print for heavy data users. I do a lot of backing up and retrieval to remote servers which sometimes means ~50GB usage in a single day on top of regular usage. I could be okay with managing daily limits but if there is a hard monthly limit it might be impossible.
* ping. I don’t really game online anymore, and even if I do it’s more casual stuff, but worried about any extra ping added to the already inherent delay of video calls.
Any thoughts?
