A couple of months ago I took the train out of Narita to Choshi (Chiba prefecture), where I visited a forest shrine called Tokai Shrine. It was raining a little bit and since it’s located in a pretty rural area, I was the only person there. I loved the atmosphere bc I’m into slightly eerie stuff.
Does anyone of you know of any other rather hidden (forest or non-forest) shrines that have the potential to feel a bit eerie? Ideally less than 3.5hrs from Narita by train.
