If so, what was your experience? Did you choose to continue in Japan? Did you try again?
Also, if anyone knows, what are the chance of getting PR status if you’ve been rejected?
Thanks for any information. My application is in, and I’m really curious how it will end up. I have no idea how I’ll deal with it if I get rejected, like if there’s any point to stay in Japan anymore. I’ve been here many years, and have no plans to leave.

If you google “site:reddit.com/r/japanlife pr rejected”, you’ll find some stories.
No one here can tell you how yours will end up, nor would it really matter if they could. What will happen will happen, and you just decide what to do once you reach that point. Literally _zero_ point in churning it over in your mind right now.
I got rejected , received a letter 6-7 months after applying stating that I should wait until complete 10 years (I applied with 9 years). After 10 years I applied again. Pretty easy, took half day to gather all the papers, and I also created a excel sheet with my first try noting all documents I needed so second time was a breeze.
