Long term/PR ‘s of Japan, what are your Buy It Fo Life (BIFL) Japanese/ Japan made items?

Title says it all. It does not matter what category or item.

  1. Man purse. When I first got here, I thought, why would a man need a bag like that. Now I can’t leave the house without it. Handkerchief, oversize wallet, keys, phone, Gatsby wipes, small thermos, etc. etc.

  2. A Michiba rice polisher (精米器). I haven’t had mine that long, but searching for second-hand models, the depreciation is minuscule, so they must last and last

  3. My waifu. Inaka born & raised, well-traveled. Excellent cook, stubborn, thoughtful & fantastic mother. A keepah.

  4. Daikin air purifier, with 10 year eletrostatic HEPA filter.

    Not quite “for life”, but with a filter rated with a 10 years of use, it’s pretty close. Have it running 24/7, and only changed a new filter once thus far.
