In the following sentences, is the て-form being marked as a direct object by を? I think I understand the sentences, but is this a perfectly normal thing to see? Included two attempted translations.
> ゆらゆらと水面に映る影のように、目の前に浮かんでは消えてを繰り返すおぼろげなイメージ。
Like a shadow reflected on a swaying water surface, a hazy image which repeats appearing and disappearing before one’s eyes.
> 人々はその隙間から染み出す濁り水のように、生まれては消えてをただ繰返す。
People simply repeat being born and disappearing, like muddy water which oozes out of that crevice.
> 忙しなく触れては離れてを繰り返す、暖かく柔らかな感触……
If there’s no furigana, and you forget the Kanji, how do you read it?
In the English language as long as I remember the alphabet, I can sound it out.
This questions been asked a million times but I can’t quite find what I’m looking for.

I’m that weeb who wants to watch anime and tv shows and understand it (reading manga and light novels would be nice but it’s far less important) as well as playing untranslated videogames.

When I look at what people suggest it’s 900-1200 hours to reach basic fluency for an english speaker. Is that what it takes to get anywhere close enjoying anime and tv shows without subtitles? If so, because I’m an adult with a job I’m looking at about 2.5 before I reach 900 and I can’t justify 2.5 years with no return until then. So is it truly 900 before I’ll be able to enjoy media or can I at all enjoy it beforehand? And if I can beforehand roughly when?
