Hi, I want to buy this kimono-like shirt for my friend, but the shop owner doesn’t know exactly what the artwork in the back means.
I can see the black circel is the sun but don’t know the write symbol which looks like a word to me.

I’d be very surprised if it had any meaning beyond “it looks nice”. The symbol in the middle is not a kanji, it’s just a icon of a pine or fir tree.
