Hoping some of the people more knowledgeable about how Yomichan dictionaries work can help me troubleshoot Yomichan dictionary issues. I don’t mind doing the troubleshooting myself but I don’t even know where to start
I’m trying to go monolingual with my dictionary lookups but when trying to import any Yomichan formatted dictionary other than JMDict I get the following error:
“Error: Dictionary has invalid data in ‘term\_bank\_1.json’ for value ‘dictionary\[0\]\[5\]\[1\].type’, validated against ‘schema.additionalItems.items\[5\].oneOf\[1\].properties’: 0 oneOf schemas matched”
I’m not familiar enough with Yomichan to really understand what this means, the formatting seems the exact same as the JMDict one that worked I’m at a loss for what the issue could be my mate got the pixiv dict working no issue just by downloading and importing it but for me the only dict that works is JMDict.

**Solution:** So it seems the version in the Firefox addon browser is ancient you’ll have to side-load the testing version of the addon to essentially have the chrome verson.
They really should make the compatibility more apparent the only indication I had was the fact that there was a separate testing version

The error it is giving is simply saying that the dictionary being supplied doesn’t match the format (schema) held as a reference. Since no dictionaries other than JMDict work for you, I would simply remove everything YomiChan related and start over from a base install, as something clearly has broken.
