My wife and I are heading back to New Zealand in August after 2 years on JET.
As with most other Tokyo public school JETs we had to get our own apartment, and it was completely empty. So we fully set ourselves up with mostly new IKEA furniture and now want to pass it on and try to recoup some of our expenses, and save others having to buy new.
If anyone is moving to our area Mitaka, Musashino, Chofu, and is looking for well looked after single-owner furniture and basically everything else you need to set yourself up from scratch, drop me a line.

If you use Facebook, there are groups to sell or to give furnitures/things. I think one of them is called mottainai japan
