Wondering if this is too much for both days while in Kyoto with my husband. I’m conflicted on which shrines to go to as well! thanks!

**Day 0:**
* Day trip to Nara
* Travel to Kyoto in evening, check into hotel, grab food & see the Yasaka-jinja shrine at night

**Day 1:**
* Head to Fushimi Inari early in the morning
* *Not sure if we can make it to all 4, so it’s between: Hokan-ji temple & Kodai-ji temple* ***OR*** *Nanzen-ji temple & Eikandocho*
* Nishiki Market, Pontocho, Gion
* 7:30 pm dinner at Hachidaime Gihey, then walk around Hanamikoji street

**Day 2:**
* Early morning for Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, Tenryu-ji, Togetsuko Bridge, Monkey Park
* **Is it possible to go to these two?** Kinkaku-ji & Nijo Castle
* Dinner

Day 3: leave to Kanazawa

Day 2 looks doable. You do not mention when your going but days are getting shorter, sunset will be 5pm in November for example.
You will have about 45 mins travel time to either Kinkaku or Nijo Castle and then another 40 mins between the two.
Kinkaku will look exactly like the pictures you have seen. The problem will be if it is busy there will be a longish wait to do the circuit to see it. Nijo Castle is enormous if you decide to do the inner walls. I really enjoyed the experience.
The monkey park involves a hike up to see them.
