Chronic sciatic pain for four years, seeking a good neurologist in Tokyo.

As the title suggests, if anyone knows a good neurologist in Tokyo with experience in sciatic pain, I’d greatly appreciate the recommendation. An English-speaking neurologist would be ideal, but even if they aren’t, it’s fine as long as they’re competent.

  1. I don’t know about their expertise on sciatic pain bc I was going with different neurological issues, but I had great experiences with Yaesu clinic (near Tokyo station!), and one of the doctors there definitely speaks English.

  2. Have you tried an orthopedic specialist? Sciatica is usually caused by spinal issues and it may be possible to correct them through rehab or surgery.

  3. I spent years trying to get help here, with everything from surgery to extensive physical therapy. They even called in specialists for me, but no one knows what the hell they’re talking about. The best luck I’ve had is following the Foundation Program by Dr. Eric Goodman, specifically the 12-minute foundation workout. Check it out.
