Need help ASAP – will I be arrested for going to see my doctor with drug induced sinus infection

Please no judgements just useful information. I came back from vacation 2 weeks ago where I was doing a lot of powders. I have the migraine of my life due to a sinus infection but have not been seeing a doctor because I am scared of the possible consequences. Can I get in legal trouble? I am in so much pain please help.

Edit to add: Symptoms include high fever, huge migraine, one nostril completely inflamed to the point where it is no longer a hole. It is white inside. Endless runny nose from both sides.

Final edit: I am back home now after a visit to the emergency room. I will leave this post up to inform anyone else who might have this worry in the future to get help because it will be okay and your health is not worth gambling. I did not mention my drug use – I said that I had a cold and developed a severe sinus infection that won’t go away. I was safely able to receive the medication I need to get better.

  1. I mean you can just go and say you have a major migraine and just refuse any kind of tests and ask for prescription strength painkillers.

They will give them to you.

    Drink lots of water.

Avoid the powder for now. Any kind of upper including caffeine is a no go.

    No alcohol.

    Get sleep.

Again water is key for any kind of headache you have.

You’re experiencing withdrawal even though it doesn’t feel like withdrawal.

So go to the hospital for a headache, get the meds, lots of water, and sleep.

  2. I highly doubt you’ll be asked for a urine or blood test for a sinus infection. I often get multiple sinus infections per year when sick and I’m never asked – just checked over and prescribed either a corticosteroid or anti biotic depending. Don’t say anything about the nose beers and just insist that you got sick and have an infection and need help. You’ll probably be fine anyway as it’s been 2 weeks, so unless you’re a heavy and frequent user you’ll likely be in the clear now. Sinus infections can be dangerous so stop delaying help and go ASAP.

  3. It’s been 2 weeks. I would assume anything in your system had cleared? Assuming it’s just nose candy.

Best of luck, hope you feel better soon!!

  4. Everyone telling you otherwise is awful OP literally NO doctor is going to piss test you for a stupid sinus infection. The doctor will ask how long, you say how long it’s been bothering you. You DON’T say you were snorting drugs in the gaikoku two weeks ago. Geez.

I had a sinus infection that got serious and yes you can get an infection in a dangerous place from something so small and stupid. Go to the doctor OP. If you look up 当番病院 touban byoin + your city you’ll find 耳鼻科 jibika, an ENT, that’s open tomorrow (public holiday).

  5. Yes – right to jail, over cook fish, jail, undercook? Jail.

But have you tried a netty pot? You probably have a small infection. Try to get some antibiotics

  6. The doctors won’t suspect a thing, but do yourself a favour and pull yourself together.

  7. 2 weeks. Most stuff should be clear anyways.

Get the infection taken care of before it moves into your ears or eyes (or did you forget they’re connected).

  8. My understanding is that if you don’t have any drugs still in your system (or in your possession, obviously), it’s unlikely you could get in legal trouble.

Go to the hospital or an ENT (耳鼻科) and just tell them you have a horrible sinus infection but do NOT tell them about the drug use. Tell them your symptoms and leave it at that.

    Good luck and take care.

  9. Sinus infections are the most common illness I get. They aren’t going to drug test you for that lol

  10. Relax, most doctors will prescribe you antibiotics before you can even say ‘sinus infection.’ That said, don’t relax and go to a doctor!

  11. I’m not into those “powders” but I have the exact symptoms for my sinusitis so is highly probable that the doctor will treat it as any common sinusitis.

By the way, I’m almost one and a half months into different antibiotics without any definite cure and the doc still doesn’t order any test.
