Arriving to Japan in an empty apartment… would like to set up so I can sleep in darkness for the night.
do curtains need to be pre ordered and then we wait a few days?
If I’m not home to collect mail, will they leave it outside? I’m living in a 30 year old mansion.
I think prefer to buy everything on the day since idk if I’ll be home to collect mail.
Thanks guys

Knowing where you’re moving to would be helpful.
I buy all my stuff from nitori. Curtains, futon pillows, they have lights though I don’t buy electronics from them.
Since you mentioned you are living in a condo, then you probably in a densely populated enough area that there would be one within reasonable distance of you.
While I was in Japan on holidays (3 months) I saw good options at nitori and Ikea

You can also stay in a capsule hotel or something for a few days
Or just go buy an inflatable mattress the day you arrive. You will always use one if you invite people to stay, or return it the next day
Amazon. You can buy a whole set including sheets for scrolling 10000Â¥
