“True Japanese Culture” is a loaded phrase. Can you elaborate on what you’re looking for specifically?
Like you know that ordinary people don’t walk around in kimonos everyday anymore right?
If you want Samurai stuff, I’d check out some of the criterion collection films on Max (maybe start with Akira Kurosawa’s *Yojimbo, Sanjuro, and 7 Samurai*.
If you’re interested in contemporary stories, I like *Midnight Diner* on Netflix
