  1. In this sentence (from キッチン by 吉本ばなな) I’m not sure what is the verb that is matching with the particle を and the phrase preceding it:

    **あの頃あった希望を**、どんなに小さいものも絶望と呼べる自信があるわ。

    I feel like it’s not 呼べる or ある, so is this a case of an implied verb? For example would “あの頃あった希望を持って” be correct? Or something else?
