Has anyone returned something from Mercari, gotten the refund and then a few days later, the money is taken out again? The seller requested to cancel the transaction, I accepted, sent the item back and got the refund. Now a few days later the money was taken back out of my account again. I’ll hit up support but I wanted to know if that’s happened to anyone else before.
I paid a bill from my gym at the weekend that was outstanding.
Yesterday I received another bill for the exact same amount! I have the receipt of payment. Do I need to go to the gym and have a talk or shall I call them?
Anybody tried using Paidy on buying tickets for flights? can you use the option deferred payment? Thanks

Moved into a new place recently and this gas warning on my intercom noisily woke me up at 0400. I’m going to contact the gas company soon but is it anything I should be immediately worried about, or just a malfunction?
Anyone got recs for where to buy a yukata (second-hand would be nice) in Tokyo as a pretty short guy? Looked up a few places and たんす屋 seems promising, but I can’t figure out whether I need a reservation even if I just want to browse stuff. Will gladly take recs for proper formal(-ish) wear as well.
Also, unrelated: Are there any physical stores in Tokyo where I can buy the Shin Kanzen Master series for the JLPT? Or will I have to buy them online?
PSA if you live in Tokyo and registered to the web portal of the water utility (東京水道マイネット)、you have until the end of month to migrate to their new platform. They switched web platforms last year and somehow it needs re-registering. They will close the easy migration option in 10days. Given how annoying these utilitities platforms are to register you may want to do it soon if you haven’t already.
Does anyone know where to get nice glass/high quality plastic display boxes? I want to put them on the shelf and some items I want to encase are tall, around A4 size. I looked on Amazon but couldn’t find anything I liked.
What does an immigration lawyer do? I’ve spoken with three different lawyers and each time I’ve made it clear I’m 100% ready to move ahead and pay the retainer fee and whatnot and idk they just don’t say or do anything to move the process forward. I still have to collect all the paperwork. What even would I be paying them to do?
Is it just me or have doctors gotten really lazy since Covid? Every time I get sick with sinus infections, strep, the flu, or anything, my doctor always thinks it can only be Covid. He’ll Covid test me, it’ll come back negative, and then he prescribes some headache medicine and that’s it???
I have a big name, more than 18 characters, which basically is causing a lot of issues for me in Japan. Just today wanted to apply for a credit card, had to squeeze in words resulting in my name on the application and name in the bank not matching.
Do I just keep living like this or is there any solution?
