Probably snapper, don’t eat that white tuna so much.
I went to a buffet once , ate 5 plate of white tuna, guess what I did for a week 😆😂, oh the memories, can’t control it
hamachi
Tamari’s guys I’m a sushi che
Flounder (fluke) 99.9%
Kingfish
Good question. No one may never know. The purveyor, vendor, merchant doesn’t even know.
Probably escolar.
Tasty but not good for you. Enjoy the oily diarrhea.
Looks like butterfish to me
Left to right: Ebi (shrimp), Madai or something similar (Red Snapper), Hirame or something similar (might be labeled as fluke or flounder), Salmon, Salmon, Chu Toro, Chu Toro.
Yellowtail maybe
Wtf nobody knows
I’d say the white fish with a bit of red is snapper and the white one next to it is yellowtail
Its hard to tell from a picture what a small cut of fish like that is without the skin on it, that’s why everyone is just throwing out a bunch of random fish lol
Anyone saying escolar is wrong. Escolar is pure white and turns yellow as it ages.
Both the white fish here actually appear to be the same, and judging by the red bits on one, I would honestly argue they’re BOTH tilapia.
Of course, tons of fish look the same. So it’s also possible this is flounder, fluke, or snapper.
If they told you the one with the red bit is yellowtail, then it’s likely the other one is as well but these look too pale for me to say either is yellowtail.
Are these raw?
White fish is wild card species. Could be any fish that’s white
Amberjack, yellowtail, snapper, flounder, escolar and blue fin are my favorites. Blue fin being the outlier, i fucking LOVE white fish.
Left looks like yellow tail and right looks like escolar
