Hi all, I’m currently a pre-university student residing in Singapore who plans on enrolling for a Japanese university. I currently have a place in a local university for a Philosophy major but I do plan to apply for Japanese universities, particularly Waseda’s SILS, Kyoto IUP’s Faculty of Integrated Human Studies, and Nagoya G30’s Japan-In-Asia Cultural Studies.
As for future considerations, I do not have a fixed route in mind but I do plan to eventually move to Japan for work. I also am interested in potentially attending Grad school, particularly Kyoto Seika’s school of Manga, though I may have a change of plans as I continue my studies.
I would love to hear everyone’s opinions on
* pursuing a liberal arts undergraduate degree in Japan, especially the pros and cons compared to Singapore’s program
* whether it’s better to complete my undergraduate here and pursuing grad school in Japan
* job opportunities offered by a liberal arts degree in Japan or job opportunities with arts degrees from Singapore/other countries
Feel free to add on any additional comments that you think may be helpful. Thanks in advance everyone!
